Understanding Territoriality: Identity, Place and Possession

Understanding Territoriality: Identity, Place and Possession (TIPP)

Understanding Territoriality: Identity, Place and Possession – TIPP is a 2-year project led by Fabrica (UK), with partners the contemporary visual arts organisations Netwerk in Aalst (Belgium) and Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, and contemporary design organisation Otvorena Soba in Skopje, Macedonia.
Through exhibitions, international residencies, audience engagement programmes and discursive events TIPP will create an artistic programme for diverse audiences that will further our understanding of territoriality and its relationship to cultural identity, and provide a platform to debate its importance to Europe.

In the core of TIPP Cittadellarte hosts a research-oriented residency program.
In continuity with the first TIPP residency at Cittadellarte, run within the frame of UNIDEE 2015 entitled Creating Territorialities, that took place  from November 2nd to 6th, 2015 with Giusy Checola as mentor and Thomas Gilardi as guest-expert (further information), a second residecy is scheduled for 2016.

The residency "The Shifting Place" aims at investigating the aesthetic, spatial and temporal fractures of transition territorial processes, both in local and transnational, private and common, material and immaterial dimensions.
