For the first time, Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto will be present at the Artissima fair with a stand entitled “ARTIST SPONSOR OF IDEAS – 500per1000”, curated Judith Wielander, Art Office of Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto.

In 36 square metres, the stand will be presenting the works of 5 artists selected from the entire Cittadellarte – MANYIDEE network (Beatrice Catanzaro, Charlie Jeffery, Gayle Chong Kwan, Will Kwan, Juan Esteban Sandoval), the network of ex-residents of the

program that reaches its tenth edition in 2010.

Cittadellarte carries its commitment to the promotion of contemporary socially oriented art forward through a double
action. This stand at Artissima not only promotes artistic practises open to experimentation and the production of
incisive visions in the collective imagination, but 50% (meaning 500 per 1000) of the revenue from sales will be used to
finance a study grant to allow an artist selected by ArtBakery, Cameroon, to take part in UNIDEE 2010. 

This way, Artissima becomes a vehicle for artistic mobility and the exchange of ideas and projects on processes of
social transformation, giving life to a network of actions that itself feeds a form of economy.
