Logo and Prize Competition for
“Premio Biella Letteratura e Industria”

Città Studi di Biella organizes the “Premio Biella Letteratura e Industria”. Every year, since 2001, a commission awards a prize to the work of an italian writer who has described the transformation of the italian society and in particular of the industrial culture. This is the only prize in Italy with the precise purpose of exploring the complex relation between the two apparently distant worlds of Arts and industrial progress.
Comune di Biella, Camera del Commercio di Biella (Biella Chamber of Commerce), Biella Città Studi S.p.A., Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella, Provincia di Biella (Biella provincial administration), Unione Industriale Biellese (Biella employers’ union) promote this event every year.

Unidee and Città Studi made a call for proposals for the creation of the “Premio Biella Letteratura e Industria” logo and the design of the 2005 prize. Some Unidee residents have submitted their ideas for the object to be given to the winner.

The proposal made by Pratul Kumar Dash was finally selected.
