Outline

Cittadellarte's partnership with A. M. Qattan Foundation is a long-lasting collaboration that since 2002, in the context of UNIDEE's research residency programme, with its scholarship allows a young talented Palestinian artist to enhance his or her practice in relation to Cittadellarte's artistic ethos and the Italian cultural context.

The A.M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF), Ramallah (PS), is an independent, not-for-profit developmental organization working in the fields of culture and education, since 1998, with a particular focus on children, teachers and young artists. The Foundation’s operations are mainly in Palestine, with additional activity in the United Kingdom through The Mosaic Rooms.

This residency grant is expected to contribute to the possibility of enriching the practice of the selected artist who, during the stay at Cittadellarte, followed by the UNIDEE team, is guided along a path based on an in-depth study of specific aspects linked to responsible social transformation, through debates and meetings with curators, artists and civil society operators, and organised study and research trips to visit institutional spaces, exhibitions and events (particularly in Turin, Milan and Venice).
