On the occasion of this three day celebration, the Uffizi of Cittadellarte (art, education, politics, production, architecture, nourishment, ecology, economy and communication) present their vision and activities to partners and the public through meetings, events (Pasticcerie Love Difference), creative and educational laboratories (curated by ReMida association Biella), gastronomic events (curated by Cafeteria Glocal Restaurant) and music performances (Flash Out Different Channel by Roberto Vaio, Flash Radio Turin; Dan Solo ).
On the 22nd of November the exhibition D_Art Lab: Design di Svolta was opened, a project curated by the Production Office of Cittadellarte in collaboration with ADI (Association for Italian Design). D_Art Lab‘s target is to realize new products (from a tap to a hat, from a travel bag to a pen, from a lamp to a beach umbrella, from tiles to coasters, from a document folder to a hotel’s furniture) that can be produced as examples of turning point design, a new business view in which sustainable and responsible creativity become the key to success in the global competition. This is the challenge that twelve of Piedmont’s enterprises and twelve designers/ collaborators of D Art Lab Project took up.
On this occasion the Ecology Office of Cittadellarte and Remida reutilization Center Biella, in collaboration with Alliance Française of Biella, presented an exhibition of the photographs of Yann Arthus-Bertrand, ‘Le developpement durable. Pourquoi?’ Promoted by Ministries of Education Research and Ecology, and of the Sustainable Development of France.
On the 24th of November’s Official Meeting, in the presence of important representatives of politics and culture – Mercedes Bresso, President of Piedmont; Achille Bonito Oliva, Art Critic aìnd Curator; Pier Luigi Celli, Managing Director of Luiss Guido Carli; Alberta Ferretti, stylist; Walter Santagata, Professor of Economy of the Culture of Turin University, – the Turning Point Book CITTADINIDELLARTE was debuted. Ten years for social responsible transformation (curated by Iris Marano, Cittadellarte edition).
The book is a sort of "step forward" by the citizens of Cittadellarte: individuals, researchers, artists, scientists, philosophers that in the last ten years have given a fundamental grant to Cittadellarte.
It is a book for sharing and popularizing the thoughts and values of some of the greatest protagonists of the research for a social responsible transformation.
Conceived as a postcard collection, it’s a creative object where writing and graphics spread ideas and free proposals for a responsible transformation of society in an innovative way. The postal format invites the reader to send single postcards, thereby encouraging active participation in the diffusing of ideas that leave and begin from Cittadellarte
